Taleglow Learning and its modules are designed for children to use with a parent or legal guardian. We minimize data, do not sell personal information, do not serve advertising, and do not provide public profiles, chat, or social sharing.

A parent account uses the parent’s email and authentication information. Child profiles may include a first name, age, profile selection, learning levels, avatar, interests, preferences, progress, and assistance history. We may also store subscription status, notification preferences, language, timezone, and limited first-party service events such as registration, onboarding steps, paywall display, and purchase status.

Some preferences remain on the device. Signed-in account, profile, and progress data may sync to our hosted database. Private avatars and personalized narration may be stored in protected cloud storage. Data is encrypted in transit.

We use information only to operate, personalize, secure, support, measure setup and billing reliability, and improve Taleglow Learning and its modules. We do not sell, rent, trade, or use child information for advertising or data brokerage. Contracted infrastructure, narration, and app-store providers process only what is needed for their service.

When a parent creates a custom story, we use an AI text model and an AI image model, operated for us by Cloudflare, to write and illustrate it. We send the reading level, the number of pages, the chosen theme, and the story details the parent typed. We do not send the child’s first name. The model writes a placeholder instead, and the name is filled in on the device when the story is displayed. Before the typed details are sent, we replace the child’s profile name wherever it appears in them with that same placeholder. The typed details are otherwise sent as written, so parents are asked not to include other names or private information. Personalized narration text is not sent to these models.

We retain information while an account is active and only as long as reasonably necessary for the service, legal obligations, dispute resolution, and security. Parents can delete an account in the app or request deletion at taleglow.app/delete-account. A deleted account stops working immediately and is permanently erased 30 days later; signing in again during those 30 days restores the family.

A parent may request access, correction, or deletion, withdraw consent where applicable, or refuse further collection. A child should not create an account or submit personal information without a parent or legal guardian.
